Coffee Art® at the Minnesota State Fair
Coffee Art® at the Minnesota State Fair
The Coffee Artists™ have been invited to demonstrate their Coffee Art® at the Minnesota State Fair. It was part of the University of Minnesota event and they were on stage for two hours, working on a coffee painting and answering questions from curious onlookers.
It was quite a success as hundreds of people witnessed the creation of the first Coffee Art® painting in Minnesota State Fair history!
The concept of this painting is the mascot, Champ the Bulldog, holding a piece of food in the shape of UMD (University of Minnesota Duluth) on a stick. As everyone knows, one can get anything imaginable on a stick to eat at the Minnesota State Fair.
Coffee Art® with Angel & Andy
Friday, Aug 24, Noon-2 PM
UMD alumni Andrew Saur (graphic design) and Angel Sarkela-Saur (marketing) paint with coffee. In fact, their coffee art has been featured on the Food Network. Their lively presentation includes finished works of art on display and they will actually paint with coffee at the fair. Their adventure with coffee art started when they planned their first art show in a Duluth coffee house and it has continued as one of their many interests since then.
